About The Role
Epic Gardening is hiring for a
Short-Form Video Editor! We’re looking for a creative editor who can deliver high-quality, engaging short form content from new material and recuts of Epic’s Youtube Back Catalog. This editor would help to elevate our shorts video production quality. This role is ideal for a skilled editor with a passion for storytelling, attention to detail, and experience crafting both long-form and short-form content for a fast-paced, high-impact creator.
WORKING HOURS & LOCATION
This is a remote role. We're open to location, just bring the talent!
What You'll Do
- Editing Content: Assemble raw footage into polished, engaging videos that meet brand standards and resonate with our audience.
- B-Roll and Visuals: Integrate dynamic B-roll, animations, and screen recordings to enhance storytelling and comprehension.
- Music and SFX: Add music and sound effects to create a professional and cohesive viewing experience.
- Rough Cutting: Quickly create strong first cuts to streamline the editing process.
- Platform Versatility: Edit long-form YouTube content as well as short-form clips for Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
MUST HAVE
- 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
- Strong experience in cutting and storytelling in the short form formats
- Ability to incorporate humor, trends, tips, and hooks into content
- 24 hour turn-around
- 5-7 shorts per week
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Expertise in adding B-roll, music, and sound effects.
- Strong rough-cutting skills with the ability to work efficiently.
- Experience in both long-form (YouTube videos) and short-form (Reels/Shorts) content.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to a flexible schedule.
- Commitment to work with us exclusively (not juggling multiple clients).
NICE TO HAVE
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
- Knowledge gardening
- Experience with color grading
OUR INTERVIEW PROCESS
Role
Our interview process for this role should take 2-3 hours of your time in total. Normally, the process will look something like this:
- A 20-25 min introductory chat with People & Culture to see if we think we’re a mutual fit
- A 30-60 min chat with the hiring manager to understand your skills & background as well as understand our current landscape
- A 45 minute panel discussion with key stakeholders you’d be working with on a day-to-day basis

- Base Compensation: This role is an internal level of associate with base compensation starting at $60,000 depending on location, experience, and industry demands.
