Processes, maintains, compiles, and reports on health information for research, quality assurance, and program planning.
Qualifications
Required Education: Associate's degree. Specific course work: Associate�s degree or higher. Four (4) years of cancer registry experience and CTR accepted in lieu of Associate's degree. Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to February 20, 2023 will be grandfathered. Preferred Education: Coursework in Human Anatomy and Physiology or medical terminology. Enrolled in a National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)-Accredited Formal Education Certificate or Degree Program with expectation of becoming a Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR). Necessary Skills: 1. Must be highly organized, capable of working independently, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task 2. Ability to interact with physicians and hospital staff. Required Licensure/Certifications: Certified Tumor Registrar within two (2) years from date of hire or transfer into the position. Required Experience: Less than one (1) year oncology or tumor registry experience Preferred Experience: One (1) year oncology or tumor registry experience and telework experience Preferred Licensure/Certifications: Certified Tumor Registrar eligible Certified Tumor Registrar credential Age of Patients Served: Not applicable
