Job description

Job Overview

We are actively seeking three skilled Epic-certified Principal Trainers for a dynamic Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation project within healthcare facilities managed by NCDHHS. These positions require individuals who are certified and possess substantial experience in specific Epic applications, including HIM/Identity, Long Term Care, and Intermediate Care Facility training.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement role-specific training content, either independently or collaboratively with team members.
Create, update, and manage instructional materials and documentation.
Integrate feedback into training procedures and materials to enhance effectiveness.
Acquire knowledge of new content areas by consulting with subject matter experts.
Assist in the construction and testing of training environments (MST environments), troubleshooting issues as necessary.
Collaborate with peers in classroom settings to co-facilitate training sessions and exercises.
Prepare training materials and organize the training environment prior to sessions.
Clearly present information both verbally and in writing, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Provide additional support to trainees outside of scheduled sessions.
Train and credential new classroom trainers as needed.
Manage and prioritize assignments to adhere to timelines.

Required Skills

Expertise in creating training content using various software tools, including Microsoft Office.
Proficient in maintaining instructional materials and procedural documentation.
Strong ability to communicate information effectively in both spoken and written formats.
Collaboration skills for engaging with other trainers during classroom instruction.
Adept in consulting with technical experts to develop relevant training materials.

Qualifications

Must be certified in the assigned Epic applications, including HIM/Identity, Long Term Care, and Intermediate Care Facility.
A minimum of two years of experience as a Principal Trainer in relevant Epic applications through a complete implementation.
Proven MST Build experience on Epic applications during project implementation.
