Position Title: Marketing Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager will lead the strategic marketing efforts for the newly established department, driving brand awareness, market penetration, and revenue growth in alignment with the company’s ambitious goals. This role will focus on crafting a distinct market identity for the department, leveraging cutting-edge tools and techniques to position the department as an industry leader in innovation, partnerships, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will be a visionary marketer who thrives in a startup-like environment within an established organization, capable of building a marketing function from the ground up. This role requires a strong ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment, often supporting other departments as needed, and hiring, leading, and directing outside experts when necessary to achieve objectives.
The Marketing Manager will work with senior management and other key personnel in the firm to execute marketing strategies that will build brand recognition and promote the company.
The Marketing Manager will receive limited direction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new projects or assignments. Will assist project leadership on projects of complex scope. Will work independently or under limited supervision.
This person will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Firm Wide Marketing and Branding (50%)
- Develop and execute a marketing strategy that supports the firm’s objectives and aligns with the department’s goal to double revenue within one year.
- Collaborates with leadership to strategize on marketing initiatives and knowledge sharing / best practices
- Develop and implement branding strategies
- Build and manage external relationships with marketing / communications vendors, including negotiate contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy
- Assist, support and promote business development activities
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identifies firm needs and makes recommendations to leadership
- Develop and maintain a strong online presence through social media, including company website enhancements
- Brainstorm fresh marketing and branding ideas with senior management
- Compose, develop, evaluate and conduct training on marketing activities, strategies and policies
Develop and Maintain Marketing Materials Library (30%)
- Work with the firm wide resources to create and maintain marketing collateral including presentations, graphics, brochures, eblasts, videos, project case studies and staff resumes to support the business development and marketing needs of the firm
Social Engagements and Event Planning (15%)
- Collaborate, participate in and coordinate promotional activities, conferences, industry events or trade shows
- Active member of the company Social Committee
- Plan and coordinate events and activities
- Source and manage company branded products and apparel for staff and clients
- Research and coordinate holiday gifts for staff and clients
- Engage with employees and encourage employee involvement
- Showcase the department’s value proposition to potential partners through tailored communication strategies.
Reporting and Meetings (5%)
- Prepare development of project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Lead marketing meetings with stakeholders
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with department goals.
Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget

Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ADVANCED LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)
- Knowledge of marketing principles, procedures and best practices including promotion and public relations
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems
- Knowledge of integrated communication and marketing concepts
- Knowledge of and adherence to Sandler Training strategies and techniques for engaging real prospects, identifying and eliminating pretenders, and advancing forward
- Skilled at utilizing emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain, and their application in driving marketing innovation and strategy
- Skilled at using social media platforms for marketing and business development
- Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management
- Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Skilled in public speaking and delivering presentations to individuals and groups Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skill in editing documents for correct grammar
- Strong ability to interpret market data and trends, applying insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
- Ability to effectively market the programs and services of the firm
- Ability to establish a comprehensive marketing function from the ground up, encompassing the development of processes, selection of tools, and formation of team structures as required.
- Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
- Ability to actively listen, taking time to understand the points being made and asking questions
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues, coworkers, clients, vendors

TRAVEL / RELOCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Up to 25%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states
- Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field

- Minimum of eight years of marketing experience for a professional services firm, construction contractor, or similar
