This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, with potential for flexible hours after initial onboarding
  • Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm Rowley, MA
  • Includes 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled and ambitious Bookkeeper with the potential to grow into a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage the financial operations of multiple small businesses while developing advanced analytical skills. You’ll be at the heart of a fast-paced environment, handling approximately 5,000 projects annually and working with a global team. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who excels in QuickBooks Online and is ready to take on the challenge of complex, multi-entity bookkeeping with the prospect of career advancement into strategic financial planning.

Responsibilities
  • Manage comprehensive bookkeeping operations for five diverse small businesses using QuickBooks Online
  • Reconcile multiple bank accounts and maintain an intricate chart of accounts with 85-100 vendors
  • Process, audit, and manage financial aspects of approximately 5,000 annual projects, including sophisticated invoice matching
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, contributing to high-level financial reporting
  • Collaborate effectively with a global team to ensure seamless financial operations across all business entities
  • Develop and implement efficient bookkeeping processes and controls to enhance financial accuracy and productivity
  • Assist in evolving financial planning and analysis tasks, gradually taking on more strategic financial responsibilities
  • Integrate data from CRM/ERP systems with accounting software to ensure comprehensive financial oversight
  • Contribute to the development of audit practices and potentially engage in 13-week cash flow modeling
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of proven accounting experience, with exceptional proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Demonstrated ability to manage finances for multiple small businesses concurrently
  • Strong understanding of CRM/ERP systems and their integration with accounting software
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capacity to handle high-volume transactions efficiently
  • Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective remote collaboration
  • Ability to work US East Coast business hours, with flexibility for potential schedule adjustments in the future
  • Self-motivated professional with a passion for continuous learning and career advancement in finance
  • Experience in or willingness to learn about the automotive and real estate industries
  • Familiarity with audit practices and financial modeling is highly desirable
