As a member of the GTM team, the Sales Executive is a critical part of the sales team and is primarily responsible for the growth of ARR within Appriss Retail via both new customer acquisition and customer expansion. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Sales Executive must have strong experience selling and closing enterprise class SaaS software and real-time decisions solutions to C-level executives. They must possess the ability to prospect for new leads in addition to cultivating existing relationships to expand the Appriss Retail footprint. Required qualities include strong business acumen, executive presence, and negotiation skills. The need to be able to understand complex business challenges and identify and present the value derived from the Appriss Retail products to address customer’s challenges and concerns is a must. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the portfolio of Appriss Retail products to be able to bring the best solutions to prospects and customers, working with Customer Success Consultants as necessary to demo the solution. The Sales Executive must be motivated to work in a fast pace, ever-changing environment to deliver impactful results to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Overall, primary responsibility is to achieve and attain aggressive revenue targets each quarter by building a solid pipeline that meets short and long term goals.
  • Identify new prospects for new business opportunities and working with Marketing to identify potential campaigns.
  • Ability to identify, nurture and develop leads separately from any leads from the lead generation team.
  • Ability to develop complex business cases utilizing customer data to deliver value-based presentations to prospects during the sales cycle.
  • Strong understanding of the Retail Industry to be able to identify customer challenges and how Appriss Retail can address those concerns.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Retail industry dynamics and trends
  • Provide feedback to the Product Strategy team on industry trends and feedback from prospects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and prospects, working closely with the Customer Success Manager to maintain the on-going post sales relationship.
  • Administrative discipline to keep Salesforce CRM and other tools up to date with proper information.
  • Attend trade shows, user groups, and other industry events to further their knowledge and to network with prospects and customers.
  • Build and maintain professional networks to tap into to help drive business.

Skills & Requirements

  • 5-8 years experience in sales execution for a SaaS software company, preferably in the Retail Industry (or selling to the Retail vertical) and fraud/loss prevention industries.
  • Experience executing a standard sales methodology, such as Sandler, Challenger, Meddic, etc.
  • Successful track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and superb relationship skills, with the ability to work within all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent communication skills (clear, concise, articulate).
  • Critical thinking and strong technical, research, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Be comfortable and adaptable in an ever-changing environment.
  • Takes initiative and is self-directed with day-to-day activities – collaborating with team members to share best practices and experiences.
  • Detailed knowledge of the business use cases of Appriss Retail products.
  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to ascertain unspoken needs.
  • Influential negotiation skills are necessary.
  • Ability to develop and present to executive management and board.
  • Bachelor's Degree ideal or equivalent work experience.

Compensation range reflect base compensation. This job is also eligible for commission.

The Pay Range For This Role Is

135,000 - 175,000 USD per year(US)
