Are you an experienced Data Engineer considering new career opportunities? If so, this is worth a read!
At Solita Finland's Connected Data unit, you'll be joining a team of around 400 data and integration experts. As a growth company, we’re now looking for experienced Data Engineers to work on meaningful projects for our customers from a variety of industries.
What’s it like to work with us?
As a Data Engineer at Solita, you'll be working with customer projects ranging from building modern data platforms and processing IoT data to modernizing data storage. You have the freedom to shape your own path – whether you're looking to sharpen your current skills or explore new technologies. You also get to influence what kind of projects you work on. At best, the projects include learning something new, the possibility to use your existing skills, and creating value that is meaningful both to you and our customers. You’re never alone, since helping each other is a crucial part of our culture.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for experienced Data Engineers with a solid grasp of modern technologies. We don’t expect you to know it all, but the desire to grow your know-how along with the ever-developing IT industry is what matters. It’s a big plus if you’ve got a background in consulting and project work. Our values – caring, easy-going, courage and passion – are also very important to us, and we hope they resonate with yours.
You’ll be working with a variety of modern tools and technologies, depending on the project. Almost all of our new data projects are done in the cloud.
Main skills:
- Azure (also AWS and GCP)
- Python, SQL
- Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, Fabric
- Modern modeling methods (e.g. Data Vault 2.0)
Experience in at least some of those technologies is required.
For Data Engineers interested in growing towards a Data Architect role, we offer the opportunity to join our Architect Academy, where you will work as a consultant in our customer projects while learning the architect role. The Academy lasts approximately one year, with a workload of around one day per month (mostly online). Instead of technical aspects of the role, this program delves into general architecting skills, including interpersonal skills. The Academy serves as a way to pass on the diverse architectural expertise within Solita and to increase architectural capabilities.
A few of the many reasons to join Solita:
- A caring culture where you and your 2000 Solita colleagues are always at the center of our management’s priorities – not only as a group but as individuals too.
- A solid culture of helping each other: here you always get help with any problem you might have. You’re also not alone in projects, since we work in teams.
- Possibility to grow and widen your knowledge in new areas that are interesting for you. We have a great variety of versatile learning paths for the future, and we put a lot of effort in supporting learning.
- You don’t have to stick with the same role year after year. We have a good rotation model and many Solitans have worked in multiple roles during their Solita career.
- You get to affect the technologies and methodologies we use in projects.
- Human-centric work environment where people take care of each other.
- We want to ensure you have a good balance between work and free time. That’s what our employees see as one of the biggest benefits at Solita.
- Solita is a stable growth company, and our compensation model is a secure fixed monthly salary.
- Great benefits – such as choosing your own devices, massages to relax you during your workdays (Hki and Tre offices), in-house coach to support your mental well-being, many hobby clubs, gyms (Hki and Tre), sports/culture and lunch benefit, extensive occupational healthcare and many more!
