Job description

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team. As an SDR, you will be responsible for identifying potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and managing leads through the sales pipeline. You will work closely with our Managing Partner, to ensure that their company’s sales goals are being met.

They are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, a proven track record of success in sales, and someone willing to do whatever it takes to achieve the established goals. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a passion for sales.

Essential Functions

  • Product, Service, and Process Expertise:
  • Build comprehensive expertise in epoxy flooring products, services, and processes to effectively communicate value propositions and address client needs.
  • Customer Relationship/Pipeline Development:
  • Initiate contact with potential clients through targeted cold-calling efforts, assessing their suitability for our services.
  • Facilitate discovery calls and webinars with prospective clients, coordinating calendar invitations and Zoom call details with precision.
  • Foster and nurture relationships with potential clients, introducing our company, raising awareness, and pinpointing prospective opportunities.
  • Pursue leads diligently, leveraging exceptional communication skills and exemplary customer service to consistently identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • CRM Utilization:
  • Employ customer relationship management (CRM) software proficiently to streamline lead management and sales activities.
  • Arrange and confirm appointments, diligently following up on leads and prospects to ensure seamless engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of essential data points such as email addresses, primary contacts, and phone numbers, meticulously updating our database.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Monitor and analyze weekly meeting quotas and progress towards achieving sales objectives, adapting strategies as necessary to meet targets.
  • Provide a detailed weekly overview of activity within the sales pipeline, actively identifying challenges and engaging in ongoing training to enhance performance.
  • Generate and deliver regular comprehensive reports detailing sales activities and outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the sales team to devise effective strategies for attaining and surpassing sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in sales with multitouch outbound calling sequence duties, able to handle 50+ calls daily with email follow-ups (this may be adjusted based on time)
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Experience in a multi-client environment
  • Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Strong organization, and excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with prospects via phone and email
  • Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
  • Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
  • Time management and organizational skills
