Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a National Offshore Warehouseperson with relevant experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry, ideally offshore.

The position is based offshore Equatorial Guinea, working a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation.

Please note this position is only open to national EG candidates.

The Warehouseperson will be primarily focused on making SAP work effectively and improving the inter-relating maintenance and materials management processes, this function will have the support of the Client infrastructure, both from in-country via the Logistics/Supply chain lead and from the back office support SAP/Planning coordinator.

Responsibilities

The main functions of Warehouseperson are but not limited to:

  • To support the SAP management processes system
  • Introduce Best Practices from within the Client infrastructure
  • The prospective employee is expected to participate in Process Safety Management activities that involve process design, process technology, operational and maintenance activities and procedures, non-routine activities and procedures, emergency preparedness plans and procedures, training programs, and other elements which could impact the process.

  • Pre-start-up Safety Reviews
  • Contractors and Short Service Contractors
  • Develop and implement Operational Excellence improvements to the SAP operating processes and procedures and in the related maintenance and materials management processes
  • Provide necessary information & records in Support of SAP requirements to accurately identify and source stores as required.
  • Liaise with SAP Planner to assure stores are available as identified for work orders in SAP.
  • Ensure the delivery of material is achieved to meet company targets
  • Reviewing requisitions with view to maximizing the utilization of stock material and reduction of inventory
  • Expediting priority material
  • Complying with all applicable procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Receipt of all spares and consumables purchased or hired for use on the Offshore and Onshore Assets and Facilities
  • Identification of recurring problems and issues and provision of feedback for continuous improvement
  • Co-ordination of the storage and distribution materials to and from the installation
  • Maintaining and reporting of inventory levels and inventory tracking
  • Oversee and maintain warehouse area to good housekeeping practices with attention to HSE standards and procedures

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent formal qualification
  • BOSIET & MIST Certification

Job Specific Skills

  • Several years previous experience working in the oil & gas industry, ideally offshore
  • Materials Management Experience
  • SAP inventory and purchasing experience

PC Application Skills:.

  • IT literate with proficiency Microsoft Applications

Personal Attributes

  • Fluent in communicating in English language, verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment alongside other technical disciplines
