We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Resource Manager in our Northeast Region .

This is a remote position, east coast time zone and/or ability to travel to Northeast offices to build relationships is preferred. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. As a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Accountable for the utilization levels against business plans, highlighting adverse variance and potential issues for resolution for the Northeast Tax Practice which is comprised of ~400 professionals.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 4 Specialists/Sr. Specialists who are aligned to the offices within the region.
  • For Partners through Managers, prioritize staffing decisions based on engagement risk, specialization requirements, timing constraints, staffing continuity and geographic considerations.
  • Collaborate with Campus and Experienced Hire recruiters on various recruiting processes including confirmation of start dates.
  • Know and maintain a solid understanding of employees’ preferences with regards to skills, interests, career development opportunities preferences.
  • Accountable for redeployment process for new work or when assignments end for assigned business unit.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and management to manage headcount, providing the necessary information to adjust staffing plans and inform long-term hiring recommendations.
  • Provide weekly staffing progress updates to team leads and management on high low utilizations, unbillable time, and open demands.
  • Assist with requests for independent contractors that are based on resource needs, demand, and skills during peak busy season.
  • Actively builds relationships to ensure an adequate pipeline of resources to meet client needs and to support new business initiatives.
  • Accurately tracks and reports on all workforce management activities for assigned business units.

Your Experience.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 4-year undergrad degree in Business Management/Administration or 4-year undergrad degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant resource management or workforce planning experience.
  • Accountable to drive resource management procedures and policies with the ability to translate and manage positive outcomes to assign business unit and business leader(s).
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically strong excel skills and ability to use pivot tables, macros, and summarize analytics via pivot charts.
  • Advance understanding of financial statements and utilization metrics.
  • Expertise with organization and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work in an efficient manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to exercise creative problem-solving techniques and provide solutions.
  • Up to 10% Travel may be required as needed.
