We thrive on the power of different perspectives and experiences, knowing they drive innovation and bring us closer to our users. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer, providing employment opportunities without regard to age, ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, disability, pregnancy or maternity, marriage and civil partnership, or any other protected status. We’re continuously evolving our recruitment processes to ensure fairness and are open to accommodating any needs you might have.

Team Overview

The People, Culture and Impact (PCI) team’s mission is to deliver a mission-driven experience that empowers the People of Depop to do their best work. As Depop continues its path to profitability and executes on its growth strategy, the team is shaping a people strategy which will underpin this growth. The strategy (and the operations that underpin it) will ensure that Depop can grow scalably by building a culture of high performance and excellence, evolving organisational effectiveness and efficiency, and providing meaningful growth for our people. All the while, keeping the ‘uniquely Depop’ employee experience at the centre.

The Role:

You will design and implement learning programs to grow and develop the capabilities needed to fuel the next phase of our growth journey. Working closely with the wider PCI team and leaders across Depop, you will identify training needs, develop and deliver content, and measure the effectiveness of learning initiatives.

Your role will be to create and deliver engaging, impactful and uniquely Depop learning experiences that align with our strategic goals, enhance employee skills, support career development and foster a culture of continuous learning. You will also build relationships with external Learning partners to access relevant expertise and scale our learning offer.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning Needs Assessment: Work closely with the PCI team and leaders across Depop to build a deep understanding of skill gaps and learning needs which will accelerate execution of the Depop strategy.

  • Content Development: Design and develop a variety of interactive and engaging learning materials, including IRL/virtual workshop content and e-learning.

  • Program Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually, ensuring they are engaging and effective and that all learning materials and experiences are accessible to employees with diverse needs and learning styles.

  • Expert partnerships: Identify and build partnerships with external training providers and L&D colleagues at Etsy to access relevant expertise and scale our L&D offer across Depop.

  • Evaluation and Feedback: Implement evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Practical, hands on experience of building a compelling learning and development offering, preferably in a Tech business.

  • Strong learning delivery and facilitation skills, able to engage participants with diverse learning styles and needs.

  • Great collaboration skills, able to work co-creatively with the PCI team, stakeholders at all levels across Depop, and external partners/experts.
