The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a small government department with a big mission: to keep food safe, ensure that it is what it says it is, and that it is increasingly healthy and more sustainable.
We are looking for a Dairy Hygiene Inspector who can help us deliver “food you can trust” at dairy establishments across England and Wales. Forming a part of our official controls, your work will impact the food on tables up and down the country. Travelling around your area to carry out inspections, you will focus wherever possible on locations that present a higher risk to the public health or require a time-critical approach.
The end goal is always consumer safety, and you’ll be dedicated to upholding the UK’s dairy regulations in a consistent manner, so consumers can have faith in the quality and safety of their products, regardless of where they have been produced.
Communication will play a central part in your work, as you support dairy establishments and help them to be the best that they can be. You’ll be organised, with a talent for prioritisation and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Please Note
Extensive Travel will be required as part of the role.
