Overview:
Summary
This position is responsible for managing the administration and communication of various employee benefits programs. Manages vendors and projects and participates in program redesign and implementation sessions. This position provides support and administration in the areas of benefits and HR systems within the framework of the Total Rewards model. This will involve data-entry tasks, auditing, providing customer service to employees and managers, and leading benefits related projects. Serves as subject matter expert on full range of employee benefit plans and programs.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Benefit Plan Admin
- Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for benefit plans, creating reports and preparing reconciliations
- Creates benefits communications and conducts benefits onboarding education and enrollment
- Assesses eligibility, provides guidance/clarification on benefits plans, and resolves complex benefits issues (in partnership with broker, carriers and/or payroll as needed)
- Leads, plans, coordinates, and implements Annual Enrollment, which includes, but is not limited to, communications, trainings, vendor updates & changes, plan design changes, ADP configuration/testing/reporting/auditing, and other related items
- Provides customer service support to all team members with questions and requests related to benefit plans and ADP Benefits
- Responsible for self-billing and billing reconciliation in collaboration with the Finance team
- Responsible for administering & maintaining compliance & operational efficiencies for all benefit programs, including but not limited to life and disability, medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, and 401(k), supplemental benefits, pet insurance, legal/ID theft, COBRA, etc.
- Acts as liaison between employee and plan vendors to provide claims resolution, when needed
- Responsible for all ACA reporting & maintaining compliance
- Maintain awareness and understanding of new and existing laws, regulations and guidance applicable to plans including, but not limited to, the ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, CARES Act, Section 125 and COBRA, etc.
- Processes 401(k) contributions and reporting
- Provides due diligence and integration support for merger and acquisition activity
- Collaborates on special projects with other key stakeholders such as Payroll, IT and other HR teams; function as subject matter expert on benefits in these projects.
- Provides support to Senior Director, Total Rewards
Leaves + Work Comp
- Manages Leaves of Absence/Absence Management in coordination with various state & local laws, which includes leave administration reports, notifications, processing payroll LOA forms, PTO usage/benefit premiums and communications with impacted team members
- Manages corporate & state Workers Compensation plans including claims management, vendor relations, communications and coordination with other leave laws
- Research, analyze and apply federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6 - 8 years of benefits processing experience
- Must have exceptional aptitude for accuracy and timeliness
- Interpersonal effectiveness, especially relationship and team building
- Excel proficiency
- High level of skill in handling sensitive and confidential situations/information with the demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to take ownership of work and look for ways to improve and streamline processes
- Eagerness in solving day-to-day operational issues of varied scope and complexity
- Strong customer service skills
- Flexible and dependable. Must meet deadlines regardless of schedule
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task as well as work quickly and accurately
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ADP products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint
- CEBS coursework preferred

Pay Range
$60,000 - $90,000
Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
