Job Description

Embark on an exciting opportunity to revolutionize the financial operations of a leading compressor manufacturer. As the Bookkeeper, you’ll spearhead the migration to a cutting-edge cloud-based QuickBooks Enterprise system, streamlining processes across North, South, and Central America. Your expertise in international finance will be crucial as you navigate multi-currency transactions, manage cross-border inventory, and ensure impeccable GAAP compliance. This role offers a unique blend of technical accounting skills and international business acumen, providing you with unparalleled exposure to global operations in a rapidly evolving industry.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the data migration from legacy QuickBooks desktop to the new cloud-based QuickBooks Enterprise system, ensuring seamless transition and data integrity
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and meticulous record-keeping
  • Oversee inventory management within QuickBooks Enterprise, tracking parts and products across international locations
  • Generate accurate invoices and efficiently process sales orders, maintaining a smooth cash flow
  • Perform daily currency conversions (Euro to USD) and manage multi-currency transactions with precision
  • Ensure strict GAAP compliance in all financial records and transactions, safeguarding the company’s financial integrity
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and collaborate with external CPAs for year-end tax preparation
  • Optimize financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in international operations

Requirements

  • Proven expertise with QuickBooks Enterprise, particularly the cloud-based version, with a track record of successful system migrations
  • Strong understanding of international business operations and proficiency in managing multi-currency transactions
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory management systems within a global supply chain context
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and its application in international business scenarios
  • Excellent remote work ethic with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with international team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to work flexible hours, accommodating both Pacific and Eastern Time zones as needed
