Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for HVAC and sheet metal work, considering all aspects of project execution
  
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain current pricing information and negotiate favorable terms
  
• Craft compelling project proposals that highlight cost-effectiveness and technical superiority
  
• Utilize cutting-edge estimating software (e.g., QuoteSoft) or apply proven manual estimation techniques to ensure precision
  
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to varying workloads and tight deadlines
  
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to align estimates with project goals and company standards
  
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities to enhance project competitiveness
  
• Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging technologies in the HVAC and sheet metal industry
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC and sheet metal work estimation within the construction industry
  
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex construction drawings and specifications
  
• Advanced analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail
  
• Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., QuoteSoft) or demonstrated expertise in manual estimation methods
  
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information
  
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome estimation challenges
  
• Knowledge of current market prices, labor rates, and industry standards in HVAC and sheet metal work
  
• Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads, from part-time to full-time commitments as project demands fluctuate
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  
• HVAC or sheet metal certifications are a plus
