We are currently seeking an experienced AU Settlements Officer to join our team. This role is critical in managing the settlement process from approval to completion, ensuring accuracy and timely execution. As a key liaison between brokers, clients, and third parties, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and successful settlements. โ€‹Job Description
  • Manage the settlement process from loan approval to settlement, ensuring smooth transitions and timely execution.
  • Review mortgage documentation to verify accuracy in loan structures, rates, and customer details
  • Act as the primary point of contact for brokers and clients, addressing queries and providing timely support.
  • Maintain accurate records, monitor deadlines, and follow up proactively to prevent delays.
  • Assist clients with account opening, direct debit setups, and offset account linking.
  • Guide clients through the loan contract signing process, providing clear explanations via email and phone.
  • Liaise with solicitors, real estate agents, builders, and other external parties to facilitate successful settlements.
  • Prepare and send settlement confirmation emails and letters.
  • Assist with construction loan progress payments to ensure compliance with loan terms.
  • Organize settlement gifts as part of client relationship management.
  • Prepare and organize existing client files for rate reviews to maintain competitive loan arrangements.


Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with an Australian-based mortgage broker and at least 2 years of relevant experience as an AU Settlements Officer.
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage settlement process and related documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to explain loan processes clearly to clients via email and phone.
  • Proficiency in managing deadlines and proactively following up to prevent delays.
