Job description

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst is an essential part of the Product Management team reporting directly to the Director of Product Management, We are looking for an experienced and motivated Software Business Analyst with strong data analysis skills and expertise in Agile methodologies to join our team. In this role, you will act as a bridge between stakeholders and technical teams, supporting our product managers and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products. Your ability to project manage, multi-task, follow-through, analyze, document, and communicate requirements, combined with a strong understanding of Agile practices, will be key to driving product success. 

 

This is a position in a very fast-paced environment and is well suited for someone interested in Product Management or Research & Development.   

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

Requirement Elicitation & Documentation 

  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and customers to gather and refine business requirements. 
  • Assist in the translation of business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation. 

 

Agile Collaboration 

  • Serve as a participant in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. 
  • Work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Development Teams to ensure alignment and progress. 

 

Product Lifecycle Management Execution 

  • Assist in defining release plans. Support the development, testing, and deployment of software products, ensuring alignment with business goals. 
  • Analyze and monitor product performance, making data-driven recommendations for improvement. 

 

Stakeholder Communication 

  • Nurture communication channels and act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate transparency and alignment. 
  • Deliver reports, and status updates to stakeholders at various organizational levels. 
  • Manage reports and dashboards that show up-to-date project progress and expectations. 

 

Process Improvement 

  • Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance Agile workflows and product development processes. 
  • Champion Agile best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years as a Business Analyst or similar role in software product development. 
  • Proven experience working within Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban frameworks). 
  • Strong understanding of software product lifecycles and Agile development principles. 
  • Proficiency in understanding user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation. 
  • Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps). 
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Basic knowledge of software development processes, APIs, and system integrations. 
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools or SQL is a plus. 
  • A knack for solving complex design challenges, adapting to evolving requirements, and integrating feedback to achieve innovative solutions. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
