Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience in the field

Experience / Qualifications

  • Minimum five years’ demonstrated experience managing with wireless networks, network routing and wide area networks.
  • Healthcare IT experience preferred
  • Experience leading and participating in technology-oriented initiatives and projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work closely with external and internal teams to organize activities and drive technical development projects
  • Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing to effectively articulate complex cloud reports and technical concepts to users, development teams, and leadership

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Technical Services, the Cloud Architect will work directly with JMC business partners and internal teams to manage JMC’s cloud infrastructure.

The Cloud Architect will:

  • Work directly with stakeholders to comprehend solution problems and identify opportunities
  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption process
  • Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software
  • Ensure that solutions created by developers or other parties stick to technical architecture standards
  • Develop and organize cloud systems
  • Work closely with IT security to monitor the company’s cloud privacy
  • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud
  • Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company
  • Work closely with the BCDR team to solidify the company’s recovery solution with Cloud services
  • Be a member of the Infrastructure On-Call team
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

    • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation

    • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
