Our experts take a strategic approach to address broader environmental goals from sustainability program development, data-driven decision-making using economics and ecology expertise, data management and validation, software strategy and implementation support, chemistry quality assurance, and EHSS auditing. A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Senior Environmental Chemistry - Seller Doer, in our Advisory Chemistry / Environmental Standards team, you will be responsible for:

  • Client Engagement & Development: Identify, cultivate, and expand relationships with key clients in the chemistry consulting sector. Develop a deep understanding of client needs and tailor our services to meet their requirements.

  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Utilize CRM tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn, and personal networks to track leads, manage opportunities, and execute marketing campaigns. Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to strategize and enhance our market position.

  • Technical Expertise: Gain knowledge of our consulting chemistry practices, including environmental data management and chemistry quality assurance. This should include a familiarity with the technical staff and their professional capabilities, the types of projects the practice has performed, and the types of clients the corporation has worked for (including the names of the leading active clients). Provide guidance on technical, business development, and marketing aspects to drive growth.

  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards. Oversee the preparation of key quality documents, including SAP/QAPPs, SOPs, and QMPs.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our Business Development, Marketing, and technical teams to identify new business opportunities and provide support for the growth of our Chemistry practice.

  • Business Development Goals: Develop one qualified business lead per week, submit two proposals per month, and close two opportunities per quarter. Attend client meetings, present at industry events, and contribute to professional papers and articles.

YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or an allied science from an accredited college or university.

  • 5+ years of environmental consulting experience or environmental analytical laboratory sales experience.

  • Demonstrated ability and desire to generate and manage business leads, with a track record of closing contracts.

  • Technical knowledge in consulting chemistry, including data validation and environmental data management.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools, particularly Salesforce, and an understanding of marketing and business development strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.

  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate and drive growth in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
