We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
About your team:
At Dyno, our mission is to mend it.
We’re one of the UK’s largest plumbing and drainage forces. From blocked drains to burst pipes, we’re here to help our customers. We’re proud to offer 24-hour emergency response across the UK, using a combination of the latest technology and good old-fashioned expertise to fix a wide range of home emergencies.
Join the dynamic team at Dyno-Rod, a leading name in the plumbing and drainage industry with over 60 years of expertise. At Dyno-Rod, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to our customers.
To help us with our growth ambitions, we need a Sustainability Governance Analyst to join our team. As a Sustainability Governance Analyst, you will lead and oversee Dyno-Rod’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy, ensuring the alignment of ESG goals with business objectives across both the franchisor and franchisee networks. This role is pivotal in driving the company’s sustainability initiatives, achieving carbon reduction targets, and promoting environmental responsibility throughout the organisation.
As a Sustainability Governance Analyst, you’ll also work closely with both the franchisor leadership team and franchisees to gather, manage, and report data related to ESG performance, ensuring transparency, consistency, and trustworthiness in the impact reported. This role is essential in maintaining competitive standing in the industry, particularly as ESG considerations become increasingly important in securing new contracts and renewing existing ones.
Location: Remote working, with occasional travel for meetings.
About your role:
Data Collection and Reporting - Develop and improve systems to collect accurate and timely ESG data from both the franchisor and franchise. Consolidate ESG data with a clear breakdown of responsibilities and impacts. Ensure data accuracy and transparency, minimising the risk of greenwashing by continuously refining the data collection process to improve trust in the reported impacts.
Franchisor-Franchisee Collaboration - Work closely with franchisees to ensure that ESG goals are both company-wide and locally relevant, adapting strategies to suit regional and operational differences while maintaining overall alignment with Dyno-Rod’s sustainability objectives.
Industry Leadership and Advocacy - Stay informed of evolving ESG trends, policies, and practices within the industry to ensure Dyno-Rod remains competitive and ahead of market changes. Engage in Industry Forums, conferences, and working groups to stay ahead of ESG developments and contribute to setting industry benchmarks. Benchmark the company’s ESG performance against industry peers, continuously seeking ways to improve environmental and governance outcomes.
Risk Management - Conduct regular risk assessments related to environmental, social, and governance factors, identifying potential threats or areas of improvement in both franchisor and franchisee operations. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s reputation, ensure legal compliance, and maintain customer trust in ESG efforts.
Communication and Transparency - Ensure that Dyno-Rod’s ESG efforts are communicated transparently to external stakeholders, including customers, investors, and regulatory bodies, using data-driven insights and factual reporting. Be at the forefront of the tender process & client engagement to ensure our clients understand our ESG journey & the positive impact we are trying to make.
Audits and Certifications - Coordinate internal audits of Dyno-Rod’s ESG practices and reports to validate performance, prevent greenwashing, and build credibility with clients and regulatory bodies. Pursue relevant ESG certifications and accreditations that demonstrate Dyno-Rod’s commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
