Firefly Children & Family Alliance is looking for a full or part-time Father Engagement Case Manager to provide community-based services to fathers on a routine basis. In this position you will work directly with dads using evidenced based curriculums to assist in engaging them in their child’s life. You will support your clients by offering support, attending court, responding to crises and stabilizing family functioning.

Firefly is currently expanding its Home-Based program! To support this expansion Firefly is currently offering a hiring bonus of 2000 for this position. This position is also qualified for our Student Loan Repayment program which pays up to 4000 per year towards student loan debt. (Conditions apply. Full-time only. Lifetime maximum student loan benefit of 40,000)

You Will

• Client Progress - Monitoring and Coaching (50%)
• Coach collaboratively – maintaining a balance between teaching and serving while advocating for the father’s needs
• Visit each father on a routine and 'pop in' schedule in their homes or jail
• Assist fathers in achieving their goals while providing education & support
• Address potential areas that may be perceived as barriers in father’s having a more active role in the lives of their children
• Assist Fathers in gaining a better understanding of the DCS process and legal system
• Attend court with client and render recommendations
• Communicate with collaterals & other service providers regarding case related matters
• Respond to crisis calls and manage those situations
• Facilitate visitation between fathers and their children
• Provide transportation as appropriate
  

Service Plans / Goal Development (20%)

• Create treatment plans, including goals, for each father
• Update plans and goals on a routine basis
• Develop relationships with agencies in the community
• Work with other social welfare agencies, including DCS
  
  
  

Intake and Needs Assessment (15%)

• Visit each dad to gather necessary information to complete required assessments & genogram
• Follow Firefly Children & Family Alliance professional standards
  
  
  

Report (15%)

• Maintain case and agency paperwork according to standards
• Prepare written reports for the Department of Child Services / Probation office within identified timeframes
  
  
  

You Have

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• A valid driver's license and insurance with no more than 6 points on driving record
• Passion for working with fathers and helping them navigate life
• Ability to travel between appointments to service clients within their community and in their homes
• Knowledgeable regarding social service systems within the state
• Knowledge of and adherence to current confidentiality practices
• Appreciation for and ability to respond to cultural differences
• Develop relevant networks of contacts
