This position is advertised as part of KRS Chapter 156 OCTE for employment through the Office of Career and Technical Education. It is not subject to the provisions of KRS 18A for classified or unclassified service

The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Career & Technical Education (OCTE) has an opening for an Adult/Tech Administrative Consultant III.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides consultative services and technical assistance in the development, coordination, implementation, and operation of school, regional, or program administration for the Office of Career and Technical Education (OCTE).
- Assists career and technical education (CTE) programs and administrators throughout the state with best practices for CTE implementation.
- Builds and fosters relationships between CTE administrators, teachers, and stakeholders throughout the state to promote CTE opportunities, programs and benefits.
- Provides information and guidance to CTE stakeholders on utilization of CTE within the job site.
- Assists CTE providers in the planning and organization of CTE promotional activities.
- Serves as liaison with KY Department of Education communications and the CTE provider.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

In accordance with KRS 161.220 the applicant selected for this position will become a member of the Teachers’ Retirement System.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree in education or a closely related field supplemented by two years of administrative experience in school, regional, or state administration may substitute for the required education on a year for year basis.
