Job description

Overview:

Connection Services presents an exciting opportunity within our managed services division for a Windows Engineer. It is a 6 month contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows Server, SQL Server, and server deployment, with the ability to work alongside audit teams to ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively with audit teams.

 

The role is fully remote and offers Competitive salary, Comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k) and Potential year-end bonus.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage, build, and deploy Windows servers in production and testing environments.
  • Perform basic administration and troubleshooting of Windows SQL databases.
  • Collaborate with audit teams to ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
  • Provide maintenance, monitoring, and support for Windows Server environments.
  • Identify and resolve system issues to maintain optimal system performance.
Min: USD $50.00/Hr. Max: USD $55.00/Hr. Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server management and support.
  • Basic proficiency with Windows SQL and database management.
  • Strong experience with building and deploying Windows servers.
  • Ability to work closely with audit teams and support compliance-related tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms.
  • Automation skills (scripting, PowerShell, or similar tools).
  • Experience with monitoring and optimizing server performance.
