Job description

An excellent firm with a national reach is seeking to add talented team members to its Labor Law group. The ideal candidate will possess either a minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction & Labor Law or at least 3 years of experience in NY Labor Law.

Responsibilities:

  • Litigation Management: Handle construction and labor law litigation, ensuring all legal processes are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Legal Documentation: Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other pleadings to support litigation efforts and client representation.
  • Litigation Activities: Manage various aspects of litigation, including motion hearings, mediations, and depositions, to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and determine litigation strategies that align with clients' goals and legal best practices.
  • Trial Preparation: Prepare trial materials, and manage or assist in pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings, ensuring thorough and comprehensive representation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction & Labor Law or 3 years of experience in NY Labor Law.
  • Strong knowledge of labor law and construction law litigation processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple aspects of litigation, from initial filings to trial and post-trial proceedings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective preparation of legal documents and representation in court.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage individual caseloads efficiently.

  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and staying current with legal developments in labor law.
