The Associate Manager of Global UGG Retail Training and Communications develops and manages training and communications resources for our UGG global retail team members. This role is responsible for creating global training and communications that impact performance, engage employees, and connect our retail team members to our Brand and Company culture. This involves working cross-functionality with key regional and global stakeholders to deliver and evolve communications and trainings that meet the needs of the business and support the culture of trust and accountability.  

The Associate Manager of Global UGG Retail Training and Communications will manage retail communications and provide trainings while partnering with the regions to execute globally consistent and locally relevant content.

Your Impact

Overview

  • Develops and maintains productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, and collaborates cross functionally with team members across a variety of departments 
  • Fosters strong collaborative relationships with regional, global teams, as well as with Brand members 
  • Supports field teams in delivering exceptional customer service and prioritizes brand and product knowledge training for employees, ensuring alignment with the GTM calendar
  • Represents the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times 

Training:

  • Lead both virtual and in-person training sessions tailored to global needs, enhancing store performance and ensuring operational excellence.
  • Develop comprehensive global training programs on a diverse range of topics, including Service, Operations, Product, and Visual Merchandising.
  • Deliver engaging global operational trainings that articulate and reinforce the underlying principles of key topics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement ongoing service and soft skills training that enhance global consumer experiences and positively impacts NPS.
  • Continuously refine and evolve service and product training programs and resources to meet Global needs.  adjusting strategies to improve employee engagement and consumer experience.
  • Support global programs and initiatives with targeted regional training sessions and resources.
  • Regularly support and gather feedback from regional teams to ensure training efficacy and success.
  • Measure and evaluate training effectiveness using various success metrics, such as  to NPS, customer capture rates, product sell-through, sales performance, employee feedback surveys, operational audit scores, onboarding completion, and in-person observations.
  • Partner closely with Brand team members to develop impactful retail training that aligns with the GTM calendar.

Communications:

  • Communicate clear priorities to regional teams to maximize the impact of training investments in key programs and operational items.  
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and regional teams to develop effective communication strategies for retail team members.
  • Lead and implement effective communication strategies that enhance engagement at the store level.  
  • Serve as a representative of the field, advocating for all levels of the retail team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global and regional team members across all levels.
  • Tailor communications to suit diverse audiences, including different regions, management levels, learning styles, corporate or field partners, and internal or external stakeholders.
  • Actively seek feedback from regional teams to enhance communication effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Conferences, Employee Engagement, & Video Creation:

  • Support regional retail conferences and events, both in-person and virtually, by providing programming, guidelines, and sharing best practices.
  • Plan, produce, and edit video content from leadership for global retail teams.
  • Monitor eNPS and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Who You Are

You’re passionate about retail with proven experience in designing, creating, leading, and tracking effective trainings. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and strengths in delivering presentations. You are optimistic, flexible, and able to learn on the fly.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in retail and/or training environments
  • Proven experience in leading and conducting both virtual and in-person training sessions at a global scale, preferably in a retail or service-oriented environment.
  • Strong background in developing and implementing training programs across various topics, such as service, operations, product knowledge, and visual merchandising.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and effective training content that aligns with global standards and reinforces key operational principles.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with diverse teams to design and execute training strategies that enhance consumer experiences and improve employee engagement.
  • Track record of refining and evolving training programs based on feedback and performance metrics to meet evolving global needs.
  • Proficiency in creating targeted communication strategies and materials that resonate with different regions, management levels, and learning styles.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with global and regional teams across all levels.
  • Experience in supporting and organizing regional retail events and conferences, both in-person and virtually.
  • Skilled in producing and editing video content for training purposes.
  • Ability to monitor and analyze employee engagement metrics (e.g., eNPS) to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.

$80,000 - $85,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
