Your Impact:
Pearce is seeking a well-qualified
Field Specialist–Maintenance. This key role will be responsible for assisting with all accounts within the Wind Services business unit while also developing new business and partnerships nationally, with a market focus on Service work and Retro Fitting Wind Generators. The Field Specialist will work closely with existing Pearce customers and internal teams to grow our revenue and expand our service offerings and key target companies. The Field Specialist will also identify, qualify, and develop repairs for potential customers and partners, and work with those partners to enable our services and solutions to fit their needs.
Expected to travel 50-70%.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ownership and Accountability for teams’ safety, quality and efficiency execution.
- Periodically preform OJT training for upcoming team leads.
- Ability to teach and train leads and teams on safe, quality execution.
- Required to supervise field work and or join a team to execute scope at any level deemed necessary while focusing on Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
- Required to coach team members on proper execution of work scope wherever gaps are identified.
- Ability to backfill team leads when on R&R or PTO and maintain team continuity for our customers.
- Will conduct weekly / biweekly calls with field leadership and deliver organizational updates and focus trainings.
- Will be required to provide feedback on Safety and Quality for business improvements.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability to recognize operational gaps and develop corrective actions with action owners and a timeline for improvement.
- Will be required to take findings and operational knowledge to generate SOP’s WDI’s and other field documentation.
- Facilitate tool management, inventories and calibration.
- 50 – 75% travel expected.

Core Experience
- Minimum of five years’ direct product experience on one or more platforms.
- Self-motivated with a high level of integrity.
- Strong commitment to safety culture.
- Service experience required with additional knowledge in leadership and project execution.
- Strong understanding of Maintenance Ops, Trouble Shooting, and Training.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, line diagrams, maintenance manuals and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using dial calipers, fluke meters, and all other tools used on WTG.
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
Physical/Work Environment
At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA Standards.
- Maintain required training certifications for position held. These include at a minimum: OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED - First Aid, or GWO equivalent.
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 330 feet.
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (not to exceed 50 pounds unless team lift).
- Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions while being exposed to biological hazards associated with natural surroundings.
