St. Onge Company is seeking a dynamic SIOP Manager to join our Inventory Management & Planning Analytics team. As a key member of the team, you will drive strategic insights and implement improvements to current SIOP processes, including forecasting, demand planning, inventory planning, supply, and rough-cut capacity planning. You will also play an integral role in designing and implementing innovative SIOP processes that align with our clients' operational goals.

This is a remote role that requires approximately 50% travel. We are not able to sponsor for this role. 

 

Experience Requirement:  

  • Experience in consulting a plus with 10-15 years industry experience
  • Comfort with statistical demand forecasting model development
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in inventory and supply chain
  • Experience in change management
  • Experience in inventory management, allocation, and optimization 
  • Experience in production planning and scheduling
  • Experience in vendor management and procurement practices
  • Proficiency / relevant experience in demand generation, forecasting methods, product lifecycle management, and in inventory management principles and practices
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in undertaking supply chain analytics with commercial application
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively under time constraints
  • Minimum of a B.S. Degree in a relevant field with quantitative analysis; Master’s Degree a plus 

10-15 years industry experience

  • Knowledge of demand planning/inventory management/E2E SIOP software, for example: Demantra, Logility, Toolsgroup, John Gault, Tools Group, Smart Ops, JDA
  • Advanced Proficiency in statistical forecasting methods
  • Strong Excel/Spreadsheet skills and experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools, such as: Tableau, MS Access, or other RDBMS, MS Excel, MS Project, MS VISIO, Power BI
  • Proficiency with SIOP tools such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or equivalent.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Key member of the SIOP/Inventory Management & Planning Analytics team, responsible for generating insights and recommending improvements to current SIOP processes (including but not limited to forecasting, demand planning, inventory planning, supply, and rough-cut capacity planning). Additionally, contributing to the design and implementation of new SIOP processes.
  • Developing strategic, big-picture thinking to enhance our practice and capabilities, ensuring that tactical actions align with strategic objectives
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, fulfilling diverse roles on each assignment
  • Lead presentations (pre-sales, project updates, executive summaries, etc.) with client senior executives
  • Develop standard data request templates to work with client counterparts to acquire necessary business data and information
  • Facilitate SIOP workshops, steering committee meetings, and cross-functional collaboration sessions.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities in the SIOP process (including order profiles, inventory profiles, demand profiles, capacity planning with unique constraints, pareto analysis and other analytics) with and without sophisticated software (some examples below)
    • Analyze historical data, market trends, and business intelligence to create demand forecasts 
    • Optimize inventory levels while maintaining service levels and working capital targets 
    • Coordinate capacity planning and supply requirements with manufacturing/supplier networks
  • Implement advanced analytics tools and techniques to support data-driven decision-making
  • Create and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to monitor SIOP performance
  • Collaborate with Directors to design, develop, and integrate material for client presentations based on analysis results conducted with team members
  • Lead the design and creation of presentations for the client, and facilitate discussions for evaluating qualitative and quantitative alternatives and conducting sensitivity analysis to develop recommendations and strategic plans
  • Facilitates client development by establishing and maintaining relationships with potential, current, and former clients as well as peers
  • Responsible for leading business development activities, identifying and cultivating prospects to contribute to revenue generation
