Job description

Description

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record in designing or modifying subcomponents of heavy-duty trucks, specifically Caterpillar or similar types of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the design, testing, or certification of key components such as transmissions, engines, or other mechanical systems. Candidates who have participated in Research & Development (R&D) or certification processes for heavy-duty trucks are highly preferred.

Design and modify subcomponents for heavy-duty trucks (e.g., transmissions, engines, etc.), ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Lead or support environmental testing and validation of mechanical components, including tests for durability, vibration, and extreme conditions. Collaborate with R&D and certification teams to implement effective design and testing strategies. Participate in the certification and approval processes of mechanical components, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards. Conduct failure analysis and propose solutions to address design and performance challenges in heavy-duty truck systems. Document and report on design changes, test results, and compliance efforts.
