Summary of Position Role/Responsibilities

Quzara is looking for a motivated Junior Azure Cloud SRE - Platform to support our cloud operations and assist in maintaining the security, stability, and scalability of our cloud environments. The role will involve working with technologies such as Terraform, Chef, Azure Image Builder, and Qualys, while also managing day-to-day support requests via ServiceNow. Essential Functions of the Job

• Ticket Management & Support (ServiceNow): Respond to support tickets and inquiries related to cloud infrastructure, security, and general system operations. Provide timely resolutions or escalate issues when necessary.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Assist in building and managing secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform, including deployments and updates of cloud resources.
• Configuration Management: Support system configuration efforts using Chef, ensuring consistent and compliant setups across various environments.
• Image Management: Help create and manage golden images through Azure Image Builder, ensuring systems are kept up to date with the latest patches and security configurations.
• Security & Vulnerability Scanning: Assist with vulnerability management by using Qualys to scan and track remediation efforts for cloud resources.
• Automation & Scripting: Work on developing basic scripts and automation to streamline operations and support tasks, gaining experience with tools like PowerShell and Python.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with senior SREs and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and support project initiatives.

Normal Work Schedule

This is a full-time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.

Education, Training, and Experience

• BS in Computer Science or related field (or working towards a degree).
• 1-3 years of experience in IT, Cloud Infrastructure, or related field.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Chef, Azure Image Builder, and Qualys is a plus.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms like Azure and scripting in PowerShell, Python, or similar.
• Experience working with ticketing systems like ServiceNow.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of Cloud and Security Operations.
