The Opportunity:
As a Senior Engineer, in Virtual Agen program, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of advanced conversational AI into telephony systems to enhance customer interactions. You will work closely with cross functional teams, including telephony engineers and customer experience specialists to ensure the virtual agent aligns with business objectives and delivers seamless user experience.
The Senior Engineer should collaborate with telephony teams to implement intelligent virtual assistant (IVA) capabilities within existing systems. Ensure smooth integration with telephony protocols, IVR platforms and backend systems for robust call handling. Partner with customer experience teams to design conversational flows that are intuitive and user centric. Incorporate feedback from users to continuously refine the virtual agent’s performance. Work closely with AI teams to enhance the virtual agent’s understanding and responsiveness and optimize system scalability, reliability and security for handling high call volumes. Leverage analytics to monitor key metrics such as call resolution rates, customer satisfaction and virtual agent effectiveness. Use insights to identify areas for improvement and implement iterative enhancements.

- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
- Speech Recognition: Experience with speech-to-text technologies like Google Speech API, Deep gram, or Microsoft Azure Speech.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Knowledge of NLP concepts
- Generative AI Models: Familiarity with integrating models like GPT-4, BERT, or other transformer-based architectures.
- Voice User Interface (VUI) Design: Skills in designing and optimizing voice user interfaces. Prefer candidates with experience with Five9 AI Studio IVA platform
- Machine Learning: Understanding of machine learning algorithms and frameworks API Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deploying AI models.

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
