We are in search of a proficient and seasoned professional to become a part of our team as a Remote Backup Administrator. This role entails overseeing and supervising data backups, safeguarding the security and integrity of our organization's information systems. In the role of a Remote Database Administrator, your responsibilities will encompass the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems, all aimed at achieving optimal performance, reliability, and security. Collaboration with our IT team will be essential to pinpoint and address database challenges, establish effective backup and recovery plans, and enhance overall database efficiency. Furthermore, you will take on the responsibility of overseeing database activity, ensuring precision, and offering database support to end users as required. Primary duties will include:
Establishing and configuring backup systems to guarantee that data is captured and stored efficiently
Overseeing backups to detect and address any potential issues that may occur
Conducting routine data backups to safeguard essential information
Evaluating backup and recovery systems to confirm their proper functionality
Formulating and executing strategies and protocols to protect data
Working alongside IT teams to pinpoint and execute backup solutions that align with the organization's requirements
Offering assistance and resolving issues for backup systems as required
Keeping current with the latest developments and optimal strategies in data backup and recovery The perfect applicant for this role will possess these qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
At least 3 years of experience in data backup and recovery
Comprehensive understanding of backup software and systems, including Veeam, Commvault, or Veritas
Proficient in utilizing cloud-based backup solutions, including AWS and Azure
Strong analytical abilities and meticulous focus on details
Capable of working autonomously and managing tasks with efficiency
