Relevant Experience

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Enterprise storage systems from NetApp, PURE,VAST, Hitachi, Dell, EMC, Qumulo and similar systems.
- Proficiency in configuring, managing and monitoring storage systems from vendors such as EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, Dell, or IBM using native and external tools.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of storage protocols (Fibre Channel, SMB, NFS,
iSCSI).
- Strong background in enterprise data protection, management and
protection solutions. Must be able to design and implement new data
protection solutions, manage change, and add backup policies in a large-
scale, mission-critical, storage environment.
- Experience with storage management tools and monitoring platforms.
- Extensive experience in Brocade Fibre Channel Infrastructure.
- Familiarity with system monitoring and performance tools including
Openmetrics solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Understanding of data lifecycle management and archiving solutions.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and server
environments (Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with system automation by using scripting languages like
PowerShell, PowerCLI, Ansible, Bash, Python, JavaScript.
- Proficiency with Linux & Windows OS administration.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts

- Architect, configure, and deploy storage solutions to meet organizational
storage needs.
- Perform capacity planning and storage provisioning to support current and
future demands.
- Integrate storage systems with various server and virtualization
environments.
- Administration and Maintenance
- Manage daily operations of storage systems, ensuring availability and
performance.
- Monitor storage infrastructure to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Implement firmware and software updates to maintain system security and
reliability.
- Performance Optimization
- Analyze and optimize storage performance, addressing latency or
throughput issues.
- Develop and implement tuning strategies for storage systems.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Implement and maintain backup, replication, and disaster recovery
solutions.
- Perform regular recovery testing to ensure data integrity and system
readiness.
- Troubleshooting and Support div>
- Respond to incidents, diagnose issues, and perform root cause analysis.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for storage related issues and coordinate with
vendors for advanced troubleshooting.
- Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation of storage configurations, processes,
and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, best
practices and regulatory requirements.

Education
- Masters or Bachelors
- Certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), or similar.
- Experience with cloud storage and hybrid environments.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 a year
