This role involves collaborating with internal and external cross-functional teams that include project managers, instructional designers, subject matter experts, visual designers, technology specialists, and course developers. The goal is to create actionable design frameworks and scope out solutions for cost-effective and impactful learning programs.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with customers to define goals, identify underlying needs, recommend the right learning strategies, and prioritize the next steps of an effective solution.
Relationship Building: Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor and consultant who truly understands their learning and development requirements, challenges, and desired outcomes.
Needs Assessment: Partner with customers to define the gap between where they are now and their future performance goals, including analyzing the existing organizational environment, analyzing jobs or tasks, auditing content, or competency modeling.
Design Strategy: Map curricula, measurement plans, and continuous learning programs that drive performance metrics and leverage a blend of instructional methods, technology, and modalities.
L&D Solutioning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business and technical requirements, identify constraints, and scope out innovative and executable solutions that meet the customer’s learning and performance needs.
Evaluation and Measurement: Establish assessment and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of training interventions, the impact of learning programs, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement and optimization.
Functional Experience: Leverage knowledge and experience in specific functional areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Leadership Training, Onboarding Training, Product Training, Pharmaceutical and Medical Training, Sales Enablement Training, Compliance Training, and/or Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Training.
Industry Trends: Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in learning and development, leveraging this knowledge to provide thought leadership and ensure our solutions are cutting-edge.
6+ years of work experience as a Learning Strategist
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficiency with Google Suite and virtual meeting tools
Ability to reliably produce accurate deliverables on a short timeline
Advanced degree (e.g. Master, etc.) or certifications in Curriculum Mapping, Competency Modeling, Organizational, Professional or Talent Development, Performance Technology, Instructional Systems Design, Education, Measurement and Evaluation, Training, or Training Technology
Project management mindset, including ability to independently manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Proactive communicator, especially with regard to status, risks and opportunities
Proven capability to consult with and build effective relationships with learning and business partners at all levels (teammates to executives)
Proven ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders
