Business Development Manager, Diagnostics

Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX

ROLE SUMMARY: We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager, Diagnostics to join our Commercial team. This individual will drive adoption of our new products through direct sales to Neurology and Primary Care/Internal Medicine targets within the assigned territory. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Drive revenue and market development through direct sales to Neurologists, Neurology clinics/centers, as well as Primary Care and Internal Medicine providers/clinics.
  • Primary sales activities include prospecting, developing, and maintaining key customer relationships
  • Build and implement a strategic business plan to quickly grow territory revenue
  • Assess the needs of customers (medical professionals), utilizing a consultative selling approach
  • Position LucentAD Complete, our newly launched ALDT, as the preferred solution for patient identification.
  • Achieve quarterly growth targets on a consistent basis, contributing to corporate revenue goals
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, CLIA lab, and the sales leadership team
  • Concurrently manage multiple complex business opportunities. Requires prioritizing projects with key stakeholders and aligning with Commercial goals
  • Follow all regulatory and legal requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of healthcare sales experience, preferably in diagnostics, buy & bill, or other related market segment
  • Experience reading and analyzing reports
  • Demonstrated strengths of customer service, account set up, and account management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Life Science, Business, or sufficient related industry experience
  • Proven track record of sales success demonstrated by consistent new account acquisition and history of reaching and exceeding territory goals
  • A strong background interacting within the clinic setting including physicians and all relevant members of the staff
  • Experience collaborating with a Medical Science Liaison team to drive success
  • Experience launching new products and effectively building a strong prospective client pipeline
  • Strong understanding of the value proposition for improving upon patient/physician experience

EXPECTATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with experience navigating conversations with providers and decision makers in a clinical setting
  • Self-motivated, independent, and results oriented; possess a drive to act with a sense of urgency to influence for action and gain business
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to effectively present to both internal and external customers
  • Understands the sales funnel concept to continually move prospects through to ensure consistent and effective growth that meets or exceeds corporate objectives
  • Experience utilizing SalesForce (CRM) to enter sales activities and evaluate progress along sales process
  • Frequent field travel required within territory, attendance at industry & company events and/or trade shows as necessary
