Energy Sector Experts (Reforms) - Arlington, VA (Remote)

Summary

Tetra Tech is recruiting experienced Energy Sector professionals to fill multiple positions to support projects for public sector and commercial clients. Applicants will be considered for part-time or full-time positions.

Responsibilities

Applicants should be mid- to senior-level experts with demonstrated work experience in one or more of the following subject matters:

• Energy and electricity sector reforms, policy and institutional capacity building.
• Electricity regulation and tariff design.
• Financial and economic analysis; transactions and related due diligence.
• Financial structuring and design for instruments such as viability gap financing.
• Design, auction, procurement and implementation of renewable/clean energy projects.
• Clean energy policy, planning, regulations and incentives; climate change mitigation and adaptation.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, law, management, public policy, administration or similar related fields.
• At least 10 years of experience in the energy sector covering one or more areas listed above.
• Experience supporting energy projects funded by donors such as USAID, MCC, IFIs, and other bilateral funding organizations.
• Ability to build effective relationships with peers, supervisors, clients, and stakeholders.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professional level fluency in French and English (reading, writing and presentation).
  
  

Preferred But Not Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, law, management, public policy, administration or related fields.
• Prior experience working for electric utilities, national government, or international organization.
