Job description

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking to hire a professional to fill the role of Senior Specialist, Data and Analytics, Expertise Hubs. The Senior Specialist position is a member of the learning and development team with Habitat for Humanity’s Expertise Hubs. This position helps contribute to impactful learning experiences by measuring the results of our learning efforts, enabling us to continuously improve and make data-driven decisions and learning strategies using analytics – contributing to our goal of providing high-quality learning experiences for the U.S affiliated network. The Senior Specialist will have the responsibility to collect, interpret and report key metrics that drive decision making for Expertise Hub Directors and show impact of learning products. Additionally, this position manages the Habitat ReStore report process for 900+ Habitat ReStores nationwide. This annual report identifies trends, metrics and benchmarks, intended to help Habitat ReStores evaluate and improve their operations. This position is responsible for evaluating and improving support and service offerings to keep the program effective, and efficient.

This position may be based remotely within the US and requires 10% travel.

Responsibilities

ReStore Data Management:

  • Lead the Annual ReStore Report process for 900+ ReStores nationwide. This person will be the project architect, lead analyst and decision-maker. This includes the Annual ReStore Report as well as aggregating and managing global ReStore data. This process includes:
  • Building and amending the survey to stay relevant with the evolving national system.
  • Creating and coordinating national communications for the survey launch and reminders; this includes hosting an annual training with the Affiliate Support Center.
  • Managing the data collection process and timeline.
  • Coordinating overseeing of the data scrubbing process and timeline.
  • Compiling and analyzing data, including preparing visuals for the report to concisely present the data.
  • Writing the text for the report.
  • Overseeing the design, formatting, review, and publication processes with multiple departments (Digital Services, Marketing, Communications, Legal, Knowledge Managers, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain a system to aggregate, integrate, and manage international ReStore data to compile data for the full global network.

Product Measurement And Evaluation

  • Maintain tracking systems for expertise hub product and service metrics, affiliate awareness, interactions and other engagement opportunities (including but not limited to post-event training evaluations, skill and knowledge assessments, resource collections, MyHabitat dashboard data, Marcom data, Yammer, Email distribution metrics and relevant Salesforce Data.).
  • Establish automated data collection mechanisms for key product/service metrics.
  • Design and build dynamic dashboards, scorecards and reports that provide decision makers actionable insights.
  • Provide timely and regular data analysis and/or reports on Expertise Hub products/services feedback and data to inform decision making about how to improve all expertise hub learning products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics or data science.
  • Must have excellent presentation, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to design, implement and evaluate surveys and reports from retail stores and leadership.
  • Process high level of analytical skills – critical thinking, information analysis, research, problem solving and creativity.
  • Must be an organized, strategic thinker who is attentive to detail and can collaborate effectively.
  • Candidate should have knowledge and experience utilizing Smartsheets, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI dashboards to complete surveys, track development of program details and create reports.
  • Must be an adept Alchemer user with the ability to write custom calculations in JavaScript/LUA/PHP.
  • Can systematically apply statistical and logical techniques to drive business outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience working in the Habitat for Humanity, HFH ReStore community or similar industry.
  • Project management experience and training.
  • Knowledge of the management of non-profit earned income and retail ventures, preferably within the Habitat for Humanity network.
  • Basic understanding of adult learning principles.

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $57,890 to $68,100 per year.
