Job description

Join Epicor as a strategic leader in our Retail vertical! The Manager, Solution Engineer will serve as a strategic partner to Sales and leads a team of pre-sales Solution Engineers to position our solutions to best address the prospective client’s perceived needs. This leader will oversee our Retail ERP team and familiarity in the industry is critical.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Oversee, manage and motivate a team of Solution Engineers.
  • Advise and directs the Solution Engineers in closing new account, add-on and upgrade sales primarily through the planning and performance of high impact value-driven solution demonstrations.
  • Partner closely with Sales Management and Sales teams to identify, research, and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Guide the team and assist in preparing written responses for RFP's, RFI's and unsolicited proposals in relation to the application content.
  • Provide technical and sales consultation to the team to personalize each demonstration to fit the specific opportunity. This includes industry functionality, technology tools and cloud deployment.
  • Lead and facilitate the discussion during a demonstration.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices.
  • Build a knowledge base on our competition.
  • Interact with marketing and product management to define market and product roadmaps.

What You’ll Likely Bring

  • In-depth understanding and experience in system evaluation, RFP preparation, best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well in a Team Selling environment and as a team leader
  • Ability to travel 50-70% of the time
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Word and Excel and use of VMWare/Virtual PC required
  • Initiative, good organizational skills, attention to detail, sound business judgment and excellent written/verbal skills
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with end-users, customers, and other IT personnel
  • Creating positive customer experiences through active listening, appreciative inquiries, seeking feedback for action, continuous improvements and follow through
  • 5+ years progressive experience and demonstrated success/knowledge in hard goods
  • 5+ years managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
  • 5+ years of specialized Retail industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Master Degree preferred

Range

Minimum: $140,000.00 USD Maximum: $340,000.00 USD

The salary range provided reflects the national average for this job title and does not represent compensation specific to Epicor Software Corporation. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors relevant to the position.
