Job Description

The Research Post Doctorate Fellow will join a highly collaborative team in a critical role developing and applying advanced informatics and data science methodologies at Nemours which supports a unique scientific training environment in translational and clinical research to improve children’s health. The Post Doc engages in advanced research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. The fellow will design, organize, and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures. In some cases, the fellow will participate in designing new protocols, independently monitor results, respond to unusual outcomes/errors, and consider continuous improvements. They will also perform statistical analysis as needed. The Post Doc will summarize findings and work with the PI to publish results in research journals. They will contribute significantly to grant proposals, support scientific operations of the laboratory, and provide guidance to junior technicians, students, and researchers.

Qualifications

The candidate should possess advanced knowledge of lab practices, as well as extensive knowledge in the biomedical informatics and a post graduate degree in related discipline.
