The Opportunity:

Postmedia Editorial Services has an opening for a copy editor with at least five years of experience editing a daily newspaper. The success candidate must have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will be nimble, and easily balance accuracy and speed, and be fully accountable for their work. He/she will be equally comfortable editing arts, sports and news copy.

What you’ll do:

• Edit content for daily newspapers, checking stories for accuracy
• Write display type for print editions
  
  

Who you are:

• Talent for writing clever headlines and photo captions that capture the essence of a story;
• Excellent grammar, comprehension and editing skills;
• Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail;
• Able to work at a quick pace, editing quickly and accurately
• Proficiency in CP style.
  
  

Postmedia Editorial Services operates seven days per week, and applicants must be prepared to work nights, weekends and statutory holidays.
