Project location: Remote, Essen
Tasks:
• classical project manager tasks like the coordination between all involved parties (regional units, technical integration teams, trading desks)
• Consulting junior product developers with senior advice on the regulatory, commercial and operational requirements for BESS trading in Germany and support on the front-to-end implementation and documentation of processes
• originating and developing BESS pipeline with internal units, managing of the overall business case and orchestrating the approval process for the projects
• provide senior advice on regulatory and commercial requirements and the creation of products and solutions for small scale (B2C) flexibility sources
• acting as the requirements engineer between the battery projects and the respective IT service providers (virtual power plants) which are required to integrate the assets into the respective energy market channels
• acting as a translator between the energy trading desks, market accesses, regulators, and the battery projects
Skills:
• +10 years’ experience in the energy sector
• +5 years background in flexibility marketing and/or virtual power plants
• Proven project management track record (ideally around energy assets construction/integration/operation) and strong problem solving skills
• Expertise in energy markets in general and with balancing power products specifically (primary reserve requirements) both from a technical as well as a commercial perspective
• Experience as a Product Owner and working with agile teams (Scrum, …) and product development
• Good communication skills and ability to manage a wide variety of stakeholders (from senior management to engineers)
• Fluent in German and English
