Ruby On Rails Engineer - Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and post-production support.
• Architect scalable solutions, ensuring high performance and maintainability of applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Perform code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring uptime and reliability.
• Contribute to improving development processes, tools, and team workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7-8 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development.
• Proficient in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API design and integration.
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and writing efficient queries.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as RSpec, Minitest, or Capybara.
• Strong experience with version control systems like Git.
• Understanding of background job processors like Sidekiq or Resque.
• Hands-on experience with deployment and cloud services (AWS, Heroku, or Docker).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English for remote collaboration.
