Job description

TEKsystem's client is a global leader in technology and innovation, with a foucs on distribution. The Site Safety & Quality Assurance Consulant for a a contract position until June 2025 (view to extend) will help support their growth in Victoria

The facility based in Craigieburn, Victoria, and has requirements of being onsite 3X times a week.

The Opportunity

We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people who want to join the team as a Site Quality Assurance and Safety Manager responsible for managing the constructionproject at the Craigieburn facility. The Site Quality Assurance and Safety Manager is the liaison responsible for day-to-day coordination of all aspects of contractor works associated with the construction project.

They maintain the focus on safety and able to effectively communicate works to relevant internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage day to day coordination of the construction project including:

  • Expected to be onsite daily, overseeing the safety program.
  • Expected 300+ people onsite at any given time.
  • Manage relationship between Builder and Site Operations
  • Manage daily pre-start meetings and messaging
  • Manage safety documentation flow and compliance to regulations
  • Review phasing programs and report on progress

Requirements

  • Safety and general construction management experience and qualifications (Preferable at a Tier 1)
  • Motivated and proactive individual
  • Experience with safety management
  • Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
  • Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong Computer skills (MS Office)
