SQL Developer Apprentice [Remote]

We are looking for an enthusiastic SQL Developer Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will receive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced developers while gaining practical experience in SQL database management, query optimization, and reporting. This role is ideal for individuals eager to develop strong technical skills in SQL development and pursue a career in data management and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of SQL databases and queries.
  
• Write efficient SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and update data from relational databases.
  
• Collaborate with senior developers and database administrators to design database structures and schema.
  
• Help troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and query errors.
  
• Learn and apply database design best practices, including normalization and indexing techniques.
  
• Support the creation of stored procedures, triggers, and functions to automate tasks and enhance database functionality.
  
• Assist in creating and maintaining database reports and dashboards for business intelligence purposes.
  
• Participate in database migrations, backups, and data recovery procedures.
  
• Document and maintain code and processes in accordance with industry standards.
  
• Continuously learn about database technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance skills and performance.
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  
• Strong interest in database development, SQL programming, and data management.
  
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL query syntax.
  
• Familiarity with database management systems (DBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle is a plus.
  
• Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  
• Willingness to learn new technologies and tools in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
