Arlo is looking for a Cloud expert with 4 years of AWS and Kubernetes experience and overall 7+ years of infrastructure/IT architecture experience. Candidate should have a strong background in Linux based Systems, backup and storage administration, containerized infrastructure performance and availability and public cloud environments. Additionally, a good understanding of the AWS security concepts and enterprise IT compliance is required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Production grade AWS infrastructure and services within a managed service environment
- Design and implement containerized infrastructure solutions using enterprise tools considering high availability and resiliency.
- Implement well architected concepts as part of every solution.
- Build and enhance microservices using Java/Python which can operate at scale in k8s clusters in Production environment.
- Design traffic management with rate limits, policies/rules, WAFs, CDN and API gateways.
- Design, Deploy and maintain enterprise class security, network and systems management applications within an AWS environment
- Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for the AWS managed service environment
- Continual re-evaluation of existing stack and infrastructure to maintain optimal performance, availability and security
- Understand functional requirements and design cost optimal infrastructure solutions.
- Implement process and quality improvements through task automation
- Institute infrastructure as code, security automation and automation or routine maintenance tasks
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like docker, Kubernetes
- Build, Deploy and Manage Kubernetes clusters through automation
- Create and deliver knowledge sharing presentations and documentation for support teams
- Learning on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision
- Work effectively with onsite/offshore teams
- Good debugging skills to speed up investigation and finding root causes.
Qualifications
- Must have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 8+ years of experience in IT
- Hands-on experience in designing, implementing and maintaining all AWS infrastructure and services
- Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for the AWS managed service environment
- Hands-on experience in scripting using python, bash/shell and AWS SDKs.
- Continual re-evaluation of existing stack and infrastructure to maintain optimal performance, availability and security
- Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
- Extensive experience with AWS (IAM, Route53, Pinpoint, SSM, S3, EFS, EBS, ELB, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SQS, SNS, RDS, Cloud Formation, DynamoDB, EKS, ECS)
- Solid understanding of AWS IAM Roles and Policies
- Solid Linux systems experience with a focus on web (Apache Tomcat/Nginx+)
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Terraform, Ansible or similar tools.
- Understanding of protocols/technologies like Microservices, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS/MTLS, LDAP
- Familiarity with CI/CD process and systems.
- AWS, Kubernetes Certification is preferred
- Ability to work with and influence Engineering and cross functional teams
