Description

As Global SE Manager you will play a critical role in leading a global team of Sales Engineers (SEs) while maintaining a strong hands-on approach. This position is approximately 60% hands-on, with direct involvement in technical solution development, customer-facing engagements, and product demonstrations. The remaining of the role will focus on managerial responsibilities, including mentoring and overseeing the SE teams in the US and EU, driving performance, and ensuring alignment with sales goals.

You will act as a bridge between the technical and sales teams, helping to ensure that our products are represented accurately and effectively to potential clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing technical expertise with leadership at start up environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Technical Work

  • Work directly with clients to identify their technical needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (PoC) engagements, and technical deep dives to showcase product value.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to address technical challenges, identify enhancements, and advocate for customer needs.
  • Serve as a technical expert during the sales cycle, answering product-related inquiries and addressing concerns.
  • Stay current with product updates, competitive positioning, and industry trends to offer the best solutions.

Management and Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a geographically distributed team of SEs in the US and EU, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment between technical and commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop SE strategies, including hiring, training, and process improvements.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, ensuring the SE team contributes to revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer with a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Previous experience in a startup is a must
  • In-depth knowledge of OT/IT/Cybersecurity solutions, industrial processes, and relevant technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving sales goals.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in global team management- advantage
