The Project
Design, develop, and prototype Android native customer applications for internal and external use. Participate in the full app life cycle: concept, design, build, deploy, test, and release to the app store. Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates. Keep up-to-date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms. Drive a best practices approach to continuously improving our products, processes, and tools. Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for all features in development.
Key Responsibilities
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy and build novel products and features that our users will love.
- Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Review code and design documents, giving feedback on product specifications and mocks.
- Set and define standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help coach and mentor engineers on the team to further their professional development.
- Continuously learn and improve your technical and non-technical abilities.
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Expertise in Java or Kotlin with 5+ years of experience in Android development.
- Proven ability to develop data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant applications in the constrained environment of a smartphone.
- Strong foundation in software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience building at least one high-quality Android application with a team, from inception to launch.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently in fully remote teams and convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: self-directed, innovative, and action-oriented, with a passion for building new solutions and thriving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Fluent English (both written and spoken) is required, as you will be working with an international team and client stakeholders.
About The Role
- Working hours: 40 hours per week
- Required 2+ hours overlap with PST
- Project length: 6-12 Months (possibility to extend)
- Location: Remote
