In this position...

This position is envisioned to have the responsibility for Material Flow planning and Packaging for the new ADEV designed vehicle platforms.

  • Required Travel: 60% of time is initially expected in-person in Irvine CA
  • This job is posted as remote unless the selected candidates live within 50 miles of Dearborn MI, then it may require hybrid onsite schedule, up to 60% of the time.


Responsibilities

What you'll do...

  • Responsible for CE1 Forward Model forecasting, engineering, and launch – encompassing shipping equipment, material flow, related facilities, and material handling equipment
  • Interface with PD on impact of product design and drive opportunities for enterprise cost improvement
  • Supervise digital packaging design activities for MP&L (CATIA V5, Teamcenter Engineering, PackAssist)
  • Establish and manage container design standards, commodity pack strategies, and improvement initiatives to dive improved (lower) freight costs
  • Drive Material Flow objectives (Fork Free, MH Automation, minimized U/L)
  • Design and implement low-cost complexity management strategies
  • Active coordination between CE1 Leadership and MP&PE Skill Team


Qualifications

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • AutoCAD working knowledge
  • Experience with 3D CAD/PLM software
  • Experience to MF&PE toolset – PFEP, Factory Flow Simulations
  • Understanding of Manufacturing New Model Process Planning (stamping, body, trim, chassis, final)
  • Exhibited leadership skills and characteristics – business acumen, drive for results, conflict resolution, project management, teamwork
  • Required Travel: 60% of time is initially expected in-person in Irvine CA
