Job description

Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Assistant coordinates the Firm’s lateral attorney and staff recruiting efforts with the key accountabilities included herein and other duties as assigned.

This is a remote position resident in Chicago, Kansas City, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Cleveland, or Columbus.

Pursuant to Illinois regulation, the pay range is $27.16 to $29.85 hourly and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Responsibilities

  • Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers, coordinating multiple interviews and locations when necessary.
  • Serve as a point of contact for candidates and recruiting agencies, providing clear and timely communication regarding interview details and logistics.
  • Assist with completing necessary pre-hire screenings.
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate progress and interview schedules, updating applicant tracking system and hiring managers on a consistent basis.
  • Ensure that hiring actions follow established Talent Acquisition and Firm processes and procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Coordinates certain administrative aspects of the recruitment process, including but not limited to working with hiring managers to post open positions.
  • Provide meaningful contributions to special projects and initiatives to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of internal talent acquisition processes.
  • Communicate professionally and develop positive relationships with candidates, professional recruiters and hiring shareholders. Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external constituencies.
  • Assist with generating regular recruiting reports and providing statistics to Manager of Talent Acquisition.
  • Perform such other/additional duties as may from time to time be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with candidates, recruitment agencies, staff, managers and attorneys.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, planning, and attention to detail while attending to multiple tasks and processes.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (viRecruit preferred).
  • Strong skills in MS Office Suite.

Education And Certifications

Required: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Required

  • Minimum of two plus years of previous law firm or other professional services firm experience preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HR software. Experience with viRecruit preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
