Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: 40 paid hours, Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM EST (includes 1 hour unpaid break) | 10:00pm - 7:00am Manila
  • Client Location/Timezone: US, Eastern Time zone

Job/Company Overview: The prospect represents an accounting firm based in the US.

 They have a lot of business clients that they manage. For these clients, they issue paychecks and payroll tax returns - They also prepare business tax returns for their clients. The firm needs additional staff to help with these services

 

Job Responsibilities:

● Payroll processing and reconciliation with taxes at Federal, State, and Local levels

● Draft Employer’s Quarterly Payroll Taxes (such as Form 941) using company payroll platform

● Communicate with supervisor, other assistants, and lead accountants to aggregate and gather information

● Update client electronic records and payroll data

 

 




Requirements


Requirements:

● US tax experience as a highly preferred qualification

● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

● Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

● Highly efficient and accurate with data entry

● Proficiency in accounting software and tools.

● Strong ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct.

● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

As this is work from home, you need your own computer and internet to support calls and video call/meetings.
