About the Role
A client, based in the Newcastle area, is currently seeking an experienced React Developer to join their consultancy. They work across various sectors and industries, focusing on brownfield and greenfield projects to deliver necessary solutions. The team fosters a tight-knit culture where members are regarded as family rather than just a workforce.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Senior React Developer/Senior Front End Developer.
  • Experience working in Agile/waterfall environments.
  • Proven expertise in designing and building high-performance, data-intensive applications using React. Familiarity with additional JavaScript frameworks like Angular is advantageous.
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, including in-depth knowledge of JavaScript (ES5 & ES6+) and TypeScript, along with a solid grasp of front-end development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, performance optimization, and responsive design).
  • Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs; additional knowledge of NoSQL, GraphQL, or WebSockets is considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in utilizing modern front-end development tools and pipelines.
  • A sound understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Experience with front-end testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards is a bonus.
  • Exposure to Agile workflows, such as Scrum or Kanban.
